I have factory hardlines with banjo fittings feeding two of my cylinders. Both fittings on one of the cylinders leak. I have tried tightening them a little but they still leak.
I guess the next thing for me to check is for a seal. What kind should they have?

TIA,
BWSWede

I have seen copper washers, steel compression washers, steel with a rubber coating, and more.

Take one off and see what they are

Thanks LD1. I did just what you recommended. I found that one fitting had what appears is a steel (aluminum?) washer top and bottom and the other fitting only had a washer on top.

I replaced them all with fairly wide copper washers. I could not find 18 mm narrow copper washers. So I put it back together with what I had and it leaked like a sieve.

I extended my search further today and found true copper crush washers. Hopefully this will provide the seal I need and withstand 2800 psi (or more with bouncing of the implements).

Thanks again,
BWSwede
