18 hp Husqvarna YTH1848XP died like you turned off the key

HI, I have a 18 hp Husqvarna YTH1848XP with the 18 HP Kawasaki. It is like 13 years old and has almost 600 hr on it. Today I was cutting around the shed and it was running just fine. When I got done and headed for the shed to put it away it died as if I had just turned off the key. I checked for spark and there is plenty of that. Any of you have another place should I should look? Tomorrow I will check fuel delivery but it was cutting heavy grass just before it plucked. I think there is some sort of carb shut off thing on the bowel of the carb. Could that be it and how would you test it?

Many "modern" engines have a vacuum fuel valve.

Start with a shot of fuel down the carb, if the engine starts and dies, you have a delivery issue.

Runs with fuel shot down the intake so it has to be fuel, Pump seems to be working fine. I am thinking it has to do with that solenoid with that wire that is in the bowel. Is that some kind of shut off thing?

I removed the shut-off solenoid from the carb, checked it and it does not work, I ground down the needle shaft on the solenoid replaced it into the carb and installed a shut-off valve in the fuel line. Works just fine
