I carry a chainsaw in my truck although in that situation it wouldn't be very effective.

I have a Poulan, so while he would be stabbing me I would be pooling and pooling on it to get it started. Maybe I could throw it at him.

The Stihl I carry in my truck isn't much better. I think the bar would still be a better weapon than a short knife.
