Old reliable let me down last weekend. I was out chipping limbs for about 4 hours on Sunday when i descided i best refuel tractor. Drove to shop to refuel and i shut down tractor.
it wouldnt restart. Turned over with lots of power but no start.
engine was hot so i went in and had lunch. Later i found that 25 amp stop solonoid fuse was blown. Replaced fuse and it immediately blew again. Ok, not good.
all wires were clean, no chew marks. I pulled stop solonoid off of injector pump and tractor fired right up.
i tested all 3 wires on solonoid and im getting short between all of them. I also see some molten solder pieces near one terminal.
i called and ordered new solonoid and should be here today. I hope thats the only problem. I have 4 generators coming in and need the tractor to unload.
I guess i can run tractor and manually shut it down but dont like running it with the solonoid removed as now theres a open hole where the solonoid sat.
