Satoh S470D
Hi,

New here and starts of with a question right away :)

I have a Satoh of somewhat unknown model but I'm pretty sure it is a S373D.
Anyway, it does have a front PTO of what seems to be a very odd dimension. It has 6 spline and the diameter of it is just below 1", about 0.98" or 24mm to be exact.
I've been searching hi & low but I haven't found any equipment or adapters that will fit it. Nor any evidence of that this dimension of PTO exist elsewhere... The nearest I've found is Kubotas 25mm but it has 18 spline. The smallest 6 spline I've found is 1 1/8". Non of those will obviously work.
I would like to convert my 0.98" to 1 3/8" so that I can fit some equipment to it.

Where can I find an adapter like that? And does anyone else have this odd measurement on their PTO?

I hope that someone can shed some light in this matter so I can get something useful out of it.
BTW, I'm in Sweden so a webshop that do sell internationally would be great :)

Can you post a picture? I wonder if its the same as a old Bolens shaft.

That's what I was thinking also. I'll check mine tomorrow. OP just what part are you needing?

Thanks for the tips!
That document contained some interesting parts. 0332-00341 is close and might work! I did the conversion again and 24mm is actually 0.9449" and not 0.98". But 1" might still work.

This is how it looks like

When I look at this picture and then one of the rear PTO, which is 1 3/8", I can't really tell the difference. But in reality the one in the front is much smaller.

In a perfect world I would like to have female 0.9449" -> male 1 3/8" adapter. But anything converting it to something more common would be great!

The reason for me looking is that I want to fit a mower to it. I could use the rear 3-point and PTO but I prefer to have it in front if possible.

I am confused.

Did you actually take a caliper and measure it? Was the .980" just an error that you had converting 24mm?

Where did you come up with 24mm?

15/16" is within a few thousandths of 24mm. 0.9375" to be exact.

Sorry for messing it up. Yes I used a caliper to measure it and it is 24mm. I get a little different numbers when looking up what it is in inch.

I've found out that Walterscheid have yokes that fit those PTO. They call it 6x21x25. ISO14 also gives you a hint in the right direction.
This might come in handy for someone in the future.
