Good morning!!!!

70 this morning and headed to 83 today. A 40% chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Radar currently looks more promising.

Birds arrive this morning. So I'll spend most of today messing with them. The wife says she needs to go pickup some paperwork from Doctor, so I'll probably take her.

Did get a couple of hours last night to work on baseboard in bathroom. I put the canopy up in the front yard while wife was gone yesterday to put my miter saw under. Just raise and lower as long as wind doesn't get up. Wife wasn't impressed with the new decoration. Had some friends over last night and he liked the idea. Go figure.

Ron. Hopefully wife gets better news at second Doctor.

RNG I like to see people make things happen and get the job done  me, I would have called someone to do it long ago.

Believe me, Ed, I did try to find someone to do this paint job. At least the color coats. But when I saw what the local shops were capable of, for quite a bit of money, I just couldn't bring myself not to keep it as a DYI. There's a regular customer of my mechanic's that refurbishes and sells these busses for a living, and he's in the process of having three or four of them painted locally. The first one came back with dry paint on the back hatch that felt like sandpaper, and runs off the front drip rails. Another had fish eyes (caused by contamination). Still waiting on the the other two to come back. If problems as obvious as these are there, I can't help but wonder what kind of shortcuts were taken on the prep that don't show because they're covered with paint.

Literally had a root canal at 7:15 this morning. I decided to take the day off work so I came home and chainsawed a heaping pickup load of pallets for a bonfire this weekend. My mouth and tongue are still numb right now and my back will probably be out in the morning. If you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough they say.

If you're gonna be miserable anyway you might as well get some work done and not waste the whole day, eh? :confused2:

Good Morning! 74F @ 5:15AM. Sunny. High 96F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Doctors are just like mechanics, attorneys, or any other profession: there's good 'uns and bad 'uns, Ron. A second opinion may uncover a whole new spectrum of treatment options, or even a completely different diagnosis, so don't give up hope!

Eric and Drew, somehow it seems we can always count on you two for colorful thoughts!

Yesterday I slept 'till nearly noon; haven't done that in a long time. Then off to town for a haircut and errands, a day to feed the goose. Home late, but with a fresh skirt steak for the BBQ, and some Sierra Nevada Sidecar to wash it down with. First of their beers I've had that wasn't horribly over hopped. Drop box was full of packages when I got home; one of them is probably the new weather station, so I'll probably fool with that over the weekend.

Today I'll roll up the plastic on the spray booth before the wind tears it up, and get my friend's cylinder stud repaired, hopefully before it gets too hot. Bodyman/neighbor said he'd come by tomorrow and teach me how to use the seam sealer gun and how to block sand the primer. Hope you bought some stock in 3M, Eric; it would be paying off handsomely now!

62.4F this morning with clear skies ... high predicted to be 85F with no rain.

Got the seal kits and hydraulic filters picked up for the Kubota yesterday ... for $50 a pop they sure don't give ya a whole lot. Also picked up a new air pump for the fish tanks ... a Fluval Q2. Wanted the larger one but they were out of them ... very quiet and pumps lots of air tho'.

Picked up some 1/2" rebar to stake the timbers for the playground since The Depot was right next to PetSmart ... still have to cut those down into 2' stakes.

Also ran down to Rural King in Wooster and picked up a couple of hoses for the dump trailer and a larger cylinder for the log lift on the splitter.

On the way back home I stopped in at the commercial property and met with a guy about cutting the lawn and picking up the trash the heathens keep leaving. He only wanted $25 to do it ... couldn't believe it. I told him I'd pay him $50 and we could talk about adjusting the rate for an ongoing basis after he gets it all cut down and cleaned up. Still way cheap IMO.

Finished off the day by sanding the trim pieces with some 320 and applying another coat of poly.

I was a body man before getting in the upholstery business in the 70's. When I started in the upholstery trade I still wanted to do cars, so I built a booth similar to yours, zippered corners, sewn in filters and velcroed around the fan. Sewed pipes in the bottom and sat blocks on them, worked great! Provides good light for sure. I could reel mine up to the ceiling out of the way for normal work.

Another warm and muggy couple of days, with highs near 90. Then cooling off some.

Gotta pick up my 3/8" x 2" flat bar today so I can really get going on the hitch for my tractor.

Just got the mail and my new pocket knife came. :cool2: I had a rosewood handle Buck stockman that I loved. A few years ago I was at a knife show and Chuck Buck was there signing knives so I had him sign my knife. I then realized I had messed up and bought a small buck flipper that I soon got tired of. Kept using it for years and when we moved it got stuck in a box and is still there, somewhere. Got a 303 buck with rosewood handles, US made. It is sweet and came sharp even, just shaved my leg. I know, it's just a pocket knife but...:cool2: Ed
