TSC never keeps their stock up!!!!!

I wrote to the board at the address I listed above. I expressed concerns and included a link to this forum. This is the reply I received:

If he had read the postings, he would have seen what the perception of stocking levels are. Sounds like a canned corporate response.

Totally agree. Pretty obvious there was no way he could be bothered or "waste" his valuable time actually LOOKING at some internet forum. Despite asking THREE times for our "insights". But thanks for trying.

Typical management response. You tell them a problem and then they ask you to tell them how to fix it! It's not our problem to fix!

Too bad there isn't a chain of similar (though better stocked!!!) stores to compete with TSC in all areas they're in now. I'm sure that's how they manage to stay in business, they have no national competitors. If a Rural King opened up in my area, I'd sure be a good customer!!!

if you have a chance to go to an Agri-Supply, go there. They have excellent selections and is truly a tractor supply store. They cater to the farmer. Their prices also beat TSC by a mile.

I'd LOVE to go to an Agri-Supply store, but unfortunately there aren't any around here.

Runnings in central ND beats TSC to death with prices and stock. Definitely our go-to store first.
Second is our local ACE. They are GREAT.
Menards does pretty good too however they have terrible stocking issues and just can't seem to decide if they want to be hardware/lumber, or hardware/lumber/grocery/furniture/clothing/nursery/Barnes&Noble ! What's next? Pharmacy? No thanks. I'll go to Lowe's.
Never been in an Agri-Supply. We need one up here.

Not so long ago, I would somewhat agree with the OOS complaints previously mentioned. It used to be that I had two TSC's about equadistant away at about 30 miles. Both were small stores but the help was alway great but that is common to the area.

About a year ago, a "TSC Superstore" opened in my counties seat. I am going out on a limb on this, mind you, but I understand that the money behind this store is from the same source that makes many of the implements that TSC stores sell.

Anyway, if it's something I need great. If it's something I want then I may just wait for the sales fliers.

Beyond TSC, years ago I used to frequent a chain farm store. Honestly, I would have to dig through some reciepts but I think it was a Quality Farm & Country maybe? Anyway, the people working there were great but they simply could not get the inventory in even if on order. Bye bye, the store closed.

I try to balance my budget, needs and concern for my fellow man. I admit to shopping online at Amazon on occassion but I am also aware that (IMHO), Amazon treats people like dirt at their warehouses. Therefore, they are not my automatic go to store.

I'm in the same boat as a couple of you - everything in my town closes at 5pm M-F and noonish on saturday. Not open on sunday.

Must be a mgr decision, our local TSC store is open 8A-8P, 7 days a week...

One of the reasons TSC stays in business around here, is more small stores close early especially on Sunday. If I'm doing farm work on Sunday afternoon (which I usually am doing) and I need a part or hardware, TSC is my only choice. Of course, what I need is rarely in stock, so it really doesn't matter.
