TSC never keeps their stock up!!!!!

TSC opened close by a couple of years ago, previously closest location was 20 miles north or south.

They do stock some items that our local and long established Southern States does not.

They are often out of stock on common items for long periods of time.

Employees are usually friendly and polite but lack knowledge of items in stock or farm/ranch life
in general.

Their prices tend to be higher than expected, Home Depot is usually at least 25% cheaper on same or comparable items.

They don't open until 8 AM, feel they should open earlier, especially during warmer months.

Still nice to have them available as an option, I feel they do could do much better.

I feel your pain!!! I don't know how many times I was doing something here on my farm on a Sunday, when the feed store and the hardware stores were closed, and I went to TSC to get a common part and they were out of stock. Aaarrrrrgggghhhh!!!!

Our local Southern States was co-op owned, and sold out to the next county over's co-op.

That co-op changed our Southern States to a co-op owned Ace Hardware.

Now, we have a super expensive, mini Home Depot,,, that stocks big jugs of 2-4-D,,,, :laughing:

They can not even order Southern States items,,,

How useless, the Home Depot or Lowes is only 6 miles away. What were they thinking??

Well my TSC's in Northern Virginia are both over a 2 hour round trip, so I rarely go there.

BUT I was planning on going within a mile of one Tuesday and I've been wanting to get a set of Reese "heavy duty" truck ramps.

So I check on line, - yup, got them in stock.
But remembering this thread and just having gotten shafted by Pep Boys I decided to call and check.

Yup, according to the sales droid it shows that they have them on line but they have them and don't stock them, and this happens often and they don't know why.

BUT I do some more looking online for the ramps I want and lo and behold HD has a set with similar specs.

The HD is on the left, the TSC on the right.

Note even the wrinkles on the ATV door match

To me it looks like HD photoshopped the Reese.

the TSC is about 10 miles drive.

I like the "fasteners and hardware by the pound" aisle . Just grab a few plastic bags and a few hands full of nuts bolts ad washers etc. No brainer compared to Fastenall.

Most applications do fine with crap nuts and bolts ;-0
