What is involved in replacing the boot for the hydraulic lift top link as shown in the photo below as part #7

Is there a simple way to do it or do I have to remove the lift cover?

Any input is greatly appreciated

Thanks

the difficulty is that the yoke nut, which is threaded on the plunger is usually difficult to remove UNLESS someone put anti seize on it when they assembled it. You may have to disconnect something in the three point hydraulic control system before you try to unscrew it. Get a shop manual to see what they recommend.

Unscrew part 6 and the whole thing comes out, usually part 3 and 8 are rusted together and the parts are so cheap that I just buy them new, do not buy cheap rubber parts, go to the dealer and buy a original part, many of the cheap ones are junk after a year in the sun.

And remember to loosen set screw 17, part 6 is almost always in a bad shape after removal if you dont have the special tool to unscrew it with.
