Just how old is this Ahmed?
From looking at those pics it looks like he may have taught the Egyptians how to build the pyramids.

That's just amazing!!!! I just love the look of rock in any form of structure, and really admire the skill and patience it takes to create something like that. Thanks for posting pics and sharing all the details of what it's taking to make it happen!!!!

Okay, as you wish. He is just finishing his time with us, this will be his last week until next year. He is repairing a smaller wall 2 terraces up from the big wall. Check back tomorrow, I'll go take pictures, I assume he will give me permission.

Took some pictures of Ahmed rebuilding a smaller stone wall. In the First picture you can see the stone steps the original builders of the walls built. On long walls, they inserted these steps. Basically they are very very long stones that go deep into the dirt. The big wall Ahmed repaired (shown in the previous pics) had stone steps in them but we didn't ask him to duplicate that work, the stones would be to heavy to lift and place. My husband is to old for that kind of work, that is work for a young man, and plus we don't really need the steps.
