I bought a used 2002 4020 and have been going through it. Can't get the blinkers to work. Tail, brake and reverse lights all work.

I'm assuming the blinkers are the amber part of the tail lights. I don't have the round flasher lights.

I have confirmed the bulbs are good, the 15a fuse is good and there is 12v power to the blinker fuse.

Is the relay above the fuse block for the blinkers? I though when a blinker relay went bad the bulb would illuminate but not flash.

Also my horn doesn't work. I put a meter on the horn terminals and it isn't getting power when the horn button is pushed. I didn't find a fuse for the horn.

Thanks for any help.

Do you own a multi-meter? How good are you at electrical troubleshooting?

Yes. What should I check? I assume it's not a wire short because the blinker fuse is not blown. I'll pull the relay above the fuse box and see what those wires read.

Perhaps only the little blinker 'can' is kaput?
If your bulbs are LEDs then you need a special blinker or about a 10 ohm resistor (in parallel) to get the blinker to work.
A regular blinker for incandescent bulbs is real cheap at auto parts.

Well with a little determination and some WD40 everything is working now. Seems like there was some corrosion on the fuses.

FYI the blinkers in the taillights are also hazards. Not sure why they come with the round hazard lights also. Must be a DOT reg or something.

I do need a new hazard switch though. Mine will not turn off so I just disconnected it for now.

Anyone know if the hazard switch is standard auto part stuff or Branson specific part?

Thanks.

Heck, a switch is a switch.
You might want to label a generic replacement just so as to remember what the function is.

I have been looking at the marine switches. What I don't understand is why the hazard switch has four wires. Power in, power out, ground. What is the fourth wire?

I'm not going to spend $60 for the stock switch. I don't need the hazards and I can live with the fast blinkers with it disconnected.

Just remembered that the switch is illuminated when the headlights are on. That has to be the fourth wire.
