Man I am not going to do that but I would not mind braking his fingers.

As someone with a broken finger I would not wish that on anyone...

We have resident street people at work... hired a patrol just to come by several times each night to keep all in check.

The County Mental Hospital is a few blocks away and over the weekend took in 84 people and a riot broke out as they simply do not have room and the place is 20 years old that was built to insure services are available.

SF Car Smash and Grabs happen all the time and rarely does anything happen... no room for misdemeanor offenders.

I posted awhile back Moms wood pile had been pilfered... so I guess it can happen anywhere.

4570 man. Your fire wood looks like stored in some kind of a Hitlers Bunker. I'm so jealous!

I am in the security bus, and people just don't understand how little the system cares about your losses. It's all about money, in one way or another, nothing less. They would sooner prosecute you (who has money) that injured some unfortunate soul, while trying to protect your property.

I am most curious, if things are any different in States that have contract corporate penal facilities that I could well imagine are just sweeping the streets for (money making) inmates (guilty or not).

I told them I drilled holes and put a 22 bullet and gun power in the wood. Whoever stole the wood will be sorry and that is just the start.

If someone really did that, it could hurt an innocent person. I wonder if there is something very stinky when burned that could be put into a hole, plugged, and inconspicuously marked.

My Dad once told me, that when working at a Blast Furnace (Dofasco) the guys would piss on something (don't remember what) for the pleasure of the following shift. Nothing smells quite like it. I remembered this, and we used to piss into this particular guys BBQ that we had some issues with. Must have just been the mice after the grease!

Myth busters did this stunt. Unlikely to hurt anyone when to throw bullets into a fire. Same goes for shot shells.

The best part is the fairly large concrete area to store unsplit wood. It dramatically reduces rot and greatly increases the efficiency of picking up split wood with a grapple.

I've seen a deformed Fireplace Screen form a 22L that was in the fire... the heavy mesh was enough to contain it but it was still significantly deformed... maybe it is dependant it the shell is backed up to something?

Yep. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

So, if the shell is just laying there, when it pops, the slug goes one way and the casing goes the other way. Now if you put it in a log I imagine if the thing got hot enough, the bottom of the hole would be enough to provide something for the round to push against. However, with a .22, you'd have to have the hole big enough to accept the bottom of the case, which is significantly larger than the slug end. So, a lot of pressure would dissipate VS being in the tight chamber of a gun. I suppose if you made the hole .22 in diameter and squeezed the bullet into the hole slug first, the casing might shoot out with some force.

Anyhow, its not a good idea...
