We use 15-40 diesel rated like Delo 400 or Shell Rotella, or the Mahindra branded oil.

Same guy that did the manuals must do the safety decals. Some of the decals on tractors are almost humorous...and they used to be worse. One decal warning of rollover said "tractor can become easily upset". I had a gal tell me, I don't want to buy a moody sensitive tractor!

LOL A moody tractor now that's funny especially coming from a woman.

so - seen this written here before - but i do not recall it mentioned in the manual max25 hst - so if you glow plug to the right and not start you have to turn it to the left to recycle the glow plugs? explain please/ why cannot you just turn to the right to start the glow plugs again? what am i missing?

thanks guys.[/QUOTE
Noticed that you have a max 25hst. The op has an emax, guessing you likely have a completely different glow plug system.

Yeah you've noticed that too. LOL Mahindra manuals really do suck. Don't bother buying a service manual because it's crap too and not worth paying good money for.

As far as oil it depends a lot of climate but I use a good quality synthetic multi viscosity oil in mine. Valvoline 5W-40 full synthetic, a premium grade diesel lubricant to exceeds specs for almost any diesel engine on the planet. Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme Diesel Engine Oil: Heavy Duty Products - Valvoline(R)

I wonder if the company that makes the tractor makes the manual. My mitsu built max26 XL has a pretty good manual. I don't know about the service manual as I do not have one.

Turning your key left operates the glowplugs manually, turning key right activates timed cycle, as long as coolant is less than set point of approx 80°f either way. Unless they changed it from the early e-max units.

I bought the manual in hopes of figuring out the wiring diagram. That was a mistake. They even show how to remove the gauge cluster but there is nothing about the steering wheel removal. It is a total waste of money. Good luck

Reminds me of the Everlast welder manuals. I always wonder where else they took shortcuts if taking a couple of hours and making the manual make sense is just to much trouble to go to for these manufacturers.

"Tractor can become easily upset" LOL. Now that is funny

I think so. My mitsu built manual sucks but the tractor seems to be good. The service manual also sucks and I think they did that too. There is not even an engine wiring diagram in it. I suppose because the engine came from Mahindra so they just put the harness diagrams in it for the harnesses that they make. The manuals for the loader and backhoe came from KMW who made those. Basically reprints of what you find on the KMW site less most of the install stuff.
