This is an interesting article about a new discovery of an older unproductive battery technology that has been reexamined.

The 285 milliamp hours per gram storage capacity with 5000 cycles retaining 92 percent of full capacity.
That really grabbed me. 285 milliamp hours per gram is one heck of a lot of capacity. Multiply that by 1000 grams and that is a kilogram. So you would have 285 amp hours of storage in a battery that weight 1 kilogram or 2.2 pounds.. Now that is one he77 of a battery in a small package. If they can make this thing viable at a reasonable cost, that would revolutionize energy storage. I wonder if all of this is true. Anyone care to comment.?

I wonder what proportion of battery weight is made up of manganese oxide. ... Also voltage, hence energy, is not provided.​

Well, less good. Confused reporting probably. -- The high energy density claim is probably true. For how high, its a waiter I guess.

Yeah I am now doubting it is an order of magnitude higher than lead acid like I thought before.
