I don't ride street anymore, had 5 different Harley's and a Ducati, all gone now after an accident on a Buell, driver turned in front of me, broke my back. Ride strictly off road now. I used to race motocross back in the early 70's to early 80's. I collect and restore vintage MX bikes. I have around 24 give or take. Hodakas, Huskies, Elsinores, yamahas. Currently riding a modern MXer, Suzuki RMZ 250.

I still maintain my MC license endorsement but I haven't ridden in many years. The last bike I had was an '83 Honda Gold Wing Interstate. It was fully loaded with AM/FM, Intercom, CB and electronic cruise control. That thing was like riding in a Cadillac with the windows down. Smooth and quiet. I made several 24-hour straight through trips from Ohio to Texas and back. The only stops were for gas, food and pit stops. I averaged just over 60mph for the trips (including stops). That was pretty good considering the speed limit was 55 everywhere back then. I also took a lot of leisurely trips to Niagara Falls, into Canada and the Northeastern US. I can't imagine doing that on a shaker (or a dirt bike).
I'm more of a road person. I don't like the vibes and rumble of a V-Twin. I get enough shaking and noise on the tractors. Give me the peace and quiet of a 4 or 6 banger any day.

Killer Wombat:thumbsup: When I was 12 my dad helped my brother and me buy a race ported Super Rat, for a 100 it had a very violent power band , but if you could keep from looping it sure was fast
Haven't seen a Hodaka in person in many years, But those pictures sure brought back some memories...

Luckily she does. Been married for almost 38 years, never gave me a problem on the bikes or much anything else.
