This evening I disconnected the fuel line to check flow. There was only a trickle. I blew out again with air compressor and it is flowing fully again. Tomorrow I will replace fuel line and install shut off valve and hopefully everything will be ok!

While you have the fuel line off the tank, really blast some air through that 90 degree elbow. That's where all my clogs occurred.

Ditto on the 90. Also need to get all the crap out of the tank, or it will plug up the 90 again. Not easy to see white sealant with whitish tank back ground.

Well I think I'm back in business now. After installing a new fuel line and cutoff using the black type tubing, I did about an hour of loader work with no issues.

Also, I purchased one of those funnel-type filters for use when filling up. I still don't know if my problem was bad fuel, sealant, or both but I figure it couldn't hurt.

Its great to hear the good news! Now, when I bought my PT last year, there were no problems at all with the fuel, overheating, or vapor locking. There's another guy on here that bought his about the same time I did and he had none of the issues allot of people had with the PT 425. Having said that, I'm a fan of Kent's idea on fan and Subaru pipe, instead of the stock one. From what I can tell, the cylinder head on the muffler side, after putting that new stuff on, lower the temp. by about 30 degrees.

Yes, I am definitely going to explore exhaust alternatives based on what I've read on here. It certainly gets hot. Noticed last night it was glowing orange.

So glad to hear that you got it sorted out. You should NEVER have been subjected to that on a brand new machine. The exhaust issue is a design issue, while your major problems so far are poor assembly and quality control, IMO.

Well I honestly don't know what's going on now. Ran perfect for a couple of hours and thought it was fixed. Took it to my brothers to help him with a project and it hardly runs. You have to choke it pretty hard to keep running and that trick only lasts so long.

What is Power Trac doing to help? Do you think it might be the fuel pump?
