You know it was funny. When the sheriff showed up, I was running the Vantage 400, (at 7:15 A.M.). All the sheriff wanted to talk about was my engine drive welders. :laughing:

In this county, you can't do any property maintenance between 10:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M.

I don't know how you guys put up with stuff like that, isn't part of the reason one lives in a rural area is so other people, and the government, stay out of their business? Where I'm at, I need a permit to drill a well or install a septic system, other than that, I'm on my own. If I want to mow the pastures at 2AM by headlight, ain't nobody that can say boo about it.

I live in a county that 95% of the residents work for the government. So they need their sleep. They wouldn't know a hard days work if it ran over them.:laughing:

Around here you can here cotton combines or peanut driers running at 2 am. Kind of a comforting white noise. I've seen tractor headlights in my bedroom as the tractor turned around at the end of the field past midnight many times in some places I've lived. Something like that would not fly around here. Plus if pushed, it probably wouldn't stand up in court, if there is any justifiable reason for it.

Used to have crop dusters turn right over our place about 6 am and usually on a Sunday morning. Another stupid thing they have here in most of the new districts is what they call "architectural controls". You buy a new house and they tell you how to landscape it, you have to have at least 2 tree's and they have to be a certain type and so tall, etc., etc. It's your lot, you should be able to landscape it any way you want as long as it looks neat. They shouldn't be able to make you plant tree's if you just want a big yard. You pay a deposit and don't get it back until they're satisfied. When do you go back to court? This neighbor needs to be stopped.

November 17th. But the courts are not working for me. Been over three years since she torn down my fence. So far I got $815.00 out of her. Not sure I'll live long enough to get all my money.

I think the property lien might be the best bet. I think she's "playing" crazy to get sympathy from the judge. She should have been ordered to either replace the fence or pay to have someone replace it. I did some work on an acreage for a widow where a neighbor built a garage too close to the property line so decided to rip out a 2 rows of planted tree's on the property (10' inside her property line)I was working on to essentially move the property line over. County/judge wasn't fooling around with this idiot and ordered him to pay to replace the tree's at a cost of over $10,000 and to stay away from her. That's what the judge should be doing in your case. I think the judge in your case has lost his marbles.

She is playing the game "I'm broke". She lives on her 5-acres, power, well, septic. She pays yearly property taxes in the amount of $369.32. My 5-acres that borders hers. All I have on the 5-acres is my 24' X 48' equipment shed. No power, no well, no septic. I pay yearly property taxes in the amount of $1,148.64
