Creep speed option on Kubota M60607060 hydraulic shuttle question

I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it... It just doesn't add that much to the cost of the tractor. Once you have it, you may have a use for it?

It added $200.00 to the cost of my AGCO...

Yeah, it does seem like a good thing to have just in case but if the dealer has to split the tractor to install it, I don't think I'll get it.

On higher HP gear tractors it is very useful for snow blowing operations, less so on a hydrostatic,

"The instructions warn not to try to take advantage of the extra torque that comes with the extra gear reduction. Apparently the gears aren't strong enough and it's just for the low speed feature." jmc

that is my understanding from my M series operator's manual of using the creep feature (Kubota M8540, other manufacturers could be different)

gary fowler: another application of creep speed transmission is seeder/drill applications. again, applications requiring high torque (ground engagement, pulling/pushing) is not recommenced for creep speed according to my understanding of what kubota recommends of this feature. more of strictly ground speed use.
just my reading, but not my field experience as i don't have it on my M series model. best regards

I could go out and get the OM and read the caution, but the Branson OM states that you are not to leave the field I think or change what/where you are, maybe not get on the highway, or cross a ditch...... while in creep. Must go along with the comments about gears being weak.
