I wax the underside of the hood. It makes it much easier to keep it clean.
To be honest, when I got my tractor it looked like a parade queen for months, but it's so dusty in my area I got tired of cleaning fast. I still keep it relatively clean but parking it outside in a rain storm is how I clean it anymore.
Be careful. These things have a tendency not to do well when wet. For one thing they don't use weather pack connectors but cheap Amphenol types made for indoor use that are open to the elements. For sure, not what you'd expect to find on a tractor.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
99% of the time it's in the barn.Well, at least while not in use.

Sometimes I'll leave mine out but if there is any chance of rain I get it under cover. When I leave it out, I always park it in the shade so the paint doesn't fade so bad. I don't wanna be caught on a pink tractor.
My bufalo ranch guy down the road with all the toys is always after me to clean my Cummins in my truck. He has one of those big commercial hot water pressure washers that he has to clean off all the toys. He pressure washed his New Holland T70 [T something 70 ] last year and still can't get it to move. Got all that Italian electronics in it that doesn't like to be wet. Starts fine, just won't engage the transmission to go forward/back. He keeps saying he is going to take it in to Ellen's Equipment to have it worked on, then sell it on CraigsList. Water and electronics just don't mix...
Been thinking about waxing the new LS before winter. I thought it might be a bit ... oh, I don't know ... obsessive? ... but, now I see I'd be in good company.
Thanks for enabling me, guys.
Does anyone use Rain-X on their cab windows?
