use bucket 99% of time and the modmower when i have to due to my garden tractor pooping out.

just replaced my garden tractor 2 weeks ago so hopefully that will be set for a while now!
Why do you prefer a garden tractor to the mmm? I was hoping to combine these function satisfactorily with one machine.

We bought our first sub C in 06. We have a MF gc2310 tlb with the mid mower. 22.5 hp. Wifey said we'd never get much use from it. Boy was she wrong. Planting her shrubs, bushes and trees...moving dirt and gravel around...building from the bucket...trimming tall limbs from the bucket...spraying tall plants from the bucket...mowing with the mmm...moving sand for construction...I only wish I'd bought it 8 years sooner when I was building the house. Our backhoe has been ever so useful. Besides the fact if it's digging, it makes a great counter balance weight. Our yard is fairly sloped. With the bucket swung up hill, traversing is a breeze. The turning radius on the subs is really good and makes it easy to drive in tight spaces. Hope this helps. BTW I don't think anyone on this forum will talk you out of purchasing what we all have grown to o love.

IMO if you want a mmm then you're leaning towards a sub-compact. I have turf tires and still wouldn't want to mow my primary lawn with it. Too big and too heavy. I have a ZT for that. The tractor is great for aerating and dethatching the lawn.

Here's a good thread on SUB vs CUT on this site...http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/buying-pricing-comparisons/304121-sub-compact-compact-tractor.html

Is there a better time of year to buy a SCUT/CUT? Better time of the month (like end of month car deals)? When do manufactures seem to have their best deals/incentives?

Lots of rebates and deals out there right now. If you're ready to purchase I would do it now

As most small tractors are imported, foreign exchange rates play an important part in what the consumer will pay. The $/US is strong at present, making imports relatively cheap to dollar purchasers.

At the moment, Kubota is offering their dealers promo dollars when they sell a new tractor, combined with two Kubota or Land Pride branded implements or attachments.

My dealer was offering a cash bonus not advertised. That was last month. This month he said Kubota has not renewed it. Wonder if its a regional thing? Anyways, yes the incentives are excellent currently.

Just to compare I'm selling my MF 2310 tractor, backhoe, loader, and mid mower with 510 hours for 13400. This doesn't look like a bad deal. Garage kept is a bonus.
