I need an anti-trespasser Go-Pro for my RTV

Im trying to understand what the camera would actually be useful for? Proof he was trespassing? Defense in your shooting trial? If you do go to a camera and have a confrontation, you'd better know every aspect of the law or you'll just record your error.
Even in real life police shooting cases that are going on now, body cameras aren't getting the results communities were hoping for.

Nixon thought taping everything would be a good idea too.

I hate to say but I agree with adventure bob. Even with video and abolute proof, tresspassing is rarely enforced. I was almost arrested for unlawful detention and assault for holding until the game warden and sheriff arrived a guy who shot a deer in my back yard. I thought I was really lucky, I had the whole thing on video. They gave him a warning and told him to leave even after I showed them the video my wife recorded of the whole event, the deputy said the video just showed me breaking the law... Go figure. I installed a locked gate on my drive with motion detectors to a least slow down tresspassers.

I was told a while back when telling a friend about a guy who was trespassing wish had been where I could pulled my pickup in front of his combine he drove through my field and he said be glad you did not, you would have been guilty of unlawful retaining him or something near that. He said you would have pulled your pickup into the road and cut it off and raised the hood and pulled coil wire and say, it just stopped running. Have to call tow truck and also call the law.

And this is the reason we need people with brains to serve on juries.

This has taken a bizarre spin. If you don't like trail cameras that's great. If you can't see a benefit, you must not be looking very hard.

Trail Cameras are very useful for everything from poachers to people dumping trash on your property. People also tend to act differently if they know they are being watched. Having a picture of the trespasser is a good thing for a landowner to have if law enforcement is involved or not involved.

As far as live filming of a confrontation that is different animal but I'd still rather have it on camera.

Maybe trespassing is not enforced where you are but it certainly is in Western states when it comes to poaching. People even carry GPS maps showing landowner boundaries when hunting to make sure they stay on land they have access to. Game Wardens will absolutely enforce the law and a video of the poaching or aftermath would help a warden build a solid case for the DA.

Santa gave me a pair of 'sunglasses' with a camera built in, Sound, too. Not a Go-Pro, but a QVC special. Interchangeable lenses from clear to very dark. Just don't get carried away with you conversation and look them in the eyes. Then hoist your own petard.

Don't put words in my mouth. I said my trail camera was worthless *probably* because I didn't set it up right. Never said I didn't like it.
