That is an intriguing design, I looked a a couple of the Split Second videos, but couldn't quite see how the engagement mechanism works. That, and the belt, seemed the likeliest potential weak points of this design relative to a standard hydraulic splitter. Is there some sort of clutch or synchro unit in there that engages the spitter ram?

I did a little splitting with my new Split Second splitter:cool2: I just got it today.

It is in very nice shape for an unrestored car. There is no rust on the body.
