Well things had been going pretty well -until yesterday.
Very, very low on $$ but plenty of dog, bird & people seeds.
but that is OK. May cash in beer cans & other stuff, beer & smokes, Lysol for stink.
6+ Weeks from 1 pay day to next, then 5+ to the next. Sure hard to make $$$ last with that going on.

Mice had eat through the PEX under kitchen sink, shower, and a real bad 1 under bath room sink.
Think it may have killed them, have not seen or heard them in several days. Going to work on that yesterday.

Purchased a ratchet strap at Home Depot, 1500# & only $10. With it & big "C" clamps got the big doors shut.
Was also going to cut a hole in north door for dogs. Doves go in even if only open enough for the dogs to eat.

The trouble started. Mutts kicking up a fuss in barn. Read my thread on skunk stink. Bony & Bobby got sprayed real good / bad, dog not so much as he hung back. Mutts don't understand why they are now outside dogs. Did get the outside cut made in north door. Stink so bad in barn it makes me gag, inside cut will be a problem. Need to take strap off doors so small door will open & let some fresh air in.

VA & confusing messages. Supposed to go Urology & surgery same day & time. How do I do that. Well they are in same building & urology just wants to talk to me. Going in on the 19th, also payday, so that works out pretty well. Sure need a pain pill that actually works. Most of the time I can deal with it, but when needing to get things done, it sure lights up.

I'M a little slow. It finally came to me, short of winning the lottery or VA $$$ the old truck will be the last vehicle I will ever have. Well the old Dodge, but getting it Hwy ready is a real problem..

A little up date.
Have been getting a lot of things done.
Should be working on the water leak, but hardly done anything on that problem.
Lots of clean up, in house, barn & outside. Burning everything that will burn. getting other trash picked up & bagged. There is a collection station about 5 miles away, when I get a good load will take it there.

Got my little nest ( deck ) pretty well cleaned up, a little more old linolimn to remove & sweeping. Don some painting, found an old can of white primer, brushed it on ( sloppy ) several places, found a can of blue spray paint, & another can of silver. Paint job would make folks wonder what fool did the painting. In time it will all be painted white or very lite gray. Found a 26" X 56" sheet of plate glass in the barn. Where it came from ??? Worked on a frame for it this AM after some burning & can crushing. Will need help to bring it up and set in place. Not a problem a few years ago, Just not strong enough any more. Want to get it in closed before winter, keep warm in & still be able to see out. Also be nice in the summer to hold the cool.

trying to eat healthy & more, doing fair on that. drinking too much beer & to much smoking, 2 of the things I enjoy, so chances are I will keep it up. Could save $$$ if if I quit buy & killing meat that the dogs get. I use to be a pretty fair cook, now not much turns out right. Did get on roof & get rid of mistletoe in the tree & 1 branch cut off. Need to cut a lot more.
with my balance not going to do it. Will hire someone to do it.

Winning the bug war, I think. Some days no ticks on the dogs & none in the bed (Dogs now outside dogs, may help.)
Other bugs, praying Mantis was in the house, different than any I had ever seen, very small & light brown. Had June bugs here for about 3 months, The big green ones. Had a few Japanese beetles for a while, what a lot of folks call June bugs. Even the miller moths are mostly gone.

Mice problem, not winning, maybe not even holding my own. Trapped 3 in the house, thought that was it. This AM heard another 1. The ones in the big bar b q not there any more, they ate lots of poison. So far nothing caught in in barn. Need more poison. Soon!!

Sure need a pain pill that works, could get a lot more done, if back didn't hurt most of the time. VA is going to take x-rays on the 19th, Have other business to do there sure hope I can get it done. Way to many trips to town.

Fry's opening a new stpre roght across the street frome wally world. My friend Oscar will move there. He gets my dog food, knows my truck & loads it up before I even pay. Will save 10+ miles each trip.

Lot more later. If I let this sit too long it will get eaten.

Don't we all none of us can get too healthy.

Life goes on & on & on.
Busy day today.
Very short on $$ So crushing cans & gathering other aluminum. Should have spent more time on that.
But spent most of the day getting ugly out of my life. Painting, putting up boards & cutting others off.
'2 Full loads in burn barrel & just a little sweeping & shoveling.
Make or break time for saws all, needed to change blade. Took pliers & lifted handle to change blade. I worked & got blade changed. Also painted a lot of tools white, hopefully it will help me find them.

Sprayed barn with bleach, still stinks, but think its better. One food thing the doves have moved out, no more poop all over everything. Dogs barely smell any more. So that is a good thing.

Bugs are after Bobby again, thought I had that battle almost won. None on Bony for a few days.

Back is really getting to me. Bummed a couple of pain pills. Took 1 nothing, hour later took the other 1, still nothing.
Hope DR. can figure out something that works. 19th will be a busy day, VA for X-rays Payday. some shopping & other odds & ends. As usual, may skip some things. Other pains & irritating things, But can deal with them.

So happy to be here, gate locked, talking to mutts, birds & myself.

Need some help Need a Rope chain saw,
Don't know its real name. Its thrown over a branch & you pull the rope back & forth to cut it.

Thank you that's what I need. Costs a lot more than expected. But what else is new.

Going to be a long cold winter. Been down to 51 in the AM. & Then goes to low 90's almost instantly.
Has several Fake rain storms (?) not even enough to make the ground wet.Don't like going out until it gets up to at least 59 / 60.

Saw a good film on Humming birds last night. Really interesting.

The clean up & paint smearing goes on & on. Hope to get the house clean enough to hire someone to cleaning it up.:laughing:

When things start going wrong, it seems to never stop.
I have been thinking that had I changed 1 little thing, things would be completely different.
When I left Reno many years ago, had I left a day later or sooner as an example.
Today sure brought that to light. VA going to give me a wheel chair. Don't really need it, but when I have to do a lot of bending to get things done its nice. Have an old 1 with parts missing.

Every one at the VA very nice & go out of their way to be helpful. Was hungry, picked something up in the snack shop, it needed to be zapped. He says they can zap it in the cafeteria . Ask if I had eaten to day. said no & gave a ticket for a free meal. Got cheese burger & onion rings, + coffee. Burger & rings were awful. Coffee was good.
Drinking it on the way home.

Had propane tanks in truck, didn't stop. Was going to get tortillas & didn't stop.

Worried about mutts in house cooler not on & wanted to get home before I had to go to the restroom.
Got lit up by police, guy sure seemed to be a horses Butt. Was doing 21 mph over limit. He turned out to be pretty nice But still wrote me a ticket for 10 mph. Insurance expired yesterday, was going to b=pay it this AM, but forgot. Didn't get wrote up for that. had to do a breath test, old beer cans in truck used of but cans.

More pain pills, don't seem to work, took 1 before leaving VA & 1 when I got home. No relief & have a new pain, foot feels like it has a broken bone. It doesn't.

Mutts were good even Bony, last trip to town, bony tore the wiring out of the cooler, & actually moved it enough to get out.. It is really hard to move, I have to use a crow bar & it is still difficult. She is so damm strong & athletic, wish I was in that good of shape.

Down to 126.5 fully dressed. Balance is awful, real bad if I have to back up or turn around. Should never clime another ladder. I was lucky a few days ago when putting up the wind barrier. Need to do some more, Can my luck hold??

Clean up going pretty well, inside, out & in the barn.

Was really disappointed a few days ago when took in beer cans, other aluminum & old battery. Some real good things in the other scrap. They will probably sell it for several $$$ a pound.. OH well can't win them all.

Bearing in alternator is whining. In the old days I use to fix them, pretty easy new bearing & a couple of diodes & it is good to go. At least I can change it if gets worse. AC is barley cool & getting worse, Low on fluid ?? Have a can of that that home fill, will give it a try.

Have a lot of tools that are rusty, put some in a can with vinegar & it works really well. Try it if you have some rusty tools.
