Correct tire pressure (newb question)

Newb question here.

I have a JD 870 tractor that currently has turf tires mounted on it. Winter is coming and I am going to mount the Firestone Ag ties that came with it.

Could you suggest what the correct tire pressure should be for the rear Ag tires?

Firestone All Traction Field & Road
`12.4 x 24

Won't they have the pressure range stamped on the sidewall?

To the TBN forum pschrad. I found this: Max Load and Inflation: 1870 lbs at 16 psi, on the Firestone website.

Owners manual says 12-16 psi for that tire size.

Just a reminder - if you have 4x4, you need will want to make sure that the Ag rear tires are in proportion to the front tires (assuming you dont have Ag fronts as well)

On my 2320 R-4 tires - i put in 16# of air and that thing bounced like a kids ball.. I had to lower it to around 12# so it didnt jar my insides out..

I'm with that guy. When the dealer delivered my tractor i kept bouncing enough to shut the engine off with the seat safety switch.
I lowered the pressure so i had full width contact on pavement and found that worked great as my MAXIMUM pressure. For roots and rocks you can get by with even less....
Tires are designed to flex, you don't need to worry about heat build up like in a car...
