Thanks to all of you for your support & so on.
Had a plan today. Cut a few boards,go to local ACE & get bigger high gear clamp, spray paint & some glue.
Started by cutting boards & that is where things started going wrong. Well actually that started a few days ago.
On with the story. Cut it off twice & its still to short. Forget measuring, put board in place & mark it. Can't even get that right. Got board right length, & router out for windows. Not deep enough, router in table will not raise any higher. Could loosen bit & raise it a little. Nope have 2 other routers, first 1 I try, can not loosen (rusty It's been in barn & not in weather.)
Other 1 is working real well, use it. Take old 1 out of table & put in the other. Right?? Old 1 comes out real easy, screws twice as long as needed, but not a big deal. Little hard to line up screw holes on the other 1. Get them lined & screws will not start. No big deal use the grinder & give them a little taper. Get them started, real hard to turn. Try them in old guy, go right in. Back to the other 1, I see the problem, new guy has fine threads, old 1 coarse.
Lets move on, get something else done.
It is sometimes amazing what you can find when not looking & what you can not find when looking. Found a nice hunk ou glass, about the same size a the 1/4" sheet, maybe 3/16. Light enough I can put in with out help. Found a can of blue paint. Don't really want things blue, but better than no paint & ugly. Its in real good condition, get a crummy brush & start smearing. No coverage, will not even paint over blue Hide anything. I'll have some blue weeds in a day or 2. Maybe it will kill them, If not so what. Pretty weeds.
Could not find phone, look every place, truck cloths, bed (twice). One lat try look in bed again. Move more cloths & there is the PH, pocket knife & tape measure I keep in my pocket. Though ATM ate new CC, got another temp. While looking for PH find cc, now useless, another will be mailed in a week or so.
Would like to invite you folks out, have some fun & go exploring. Not really practical. Closest motel is over 30 miles away.
Back to the VA. Not 1 street goes straight any place. On top of that part of parking lot is being used for construction. More parking lost for good. Not enough parking as is. Could not find truck. nice guy that drove me around last time drives me around looking for truck, Can't find it. He is ready to go home, another nice guy drives me around. Lo & behold there is the truck right where I left it. AC barely working , just makes cool. Low on bug juice??? Should be purple stain where it leaks, no stain. But find the power steering hose leaking & its low on juice. Though I had some nope. PH well, it has enough for a while.
First guy that helps me look for truck, says I should get an electric wheel chair. Not a bad Idea. have so much trouble walking any distance at all. Will talk to DR next trip. Forgot to ask & get a back brace, was counting on pills to work. they don't.
On the east side of VA use to be a rodeo arena. Watched Joey Chitwood there many years ago. On north side was a nice park. & across the street a nice motel. Drove there many years ago, to crash my new plane in its first contest.
Motel was in shambles not long ago, now fixed up & is a cheap motel. First VA housing took the park, The VA took the housing & is using it for something different. Where is the Housing now???
Might be winning the war on mice. 1 guy was so brave he ran back & forth going over my shoes several times. Hr stopped to eat some poison. Lets get this over with, took bb gun point blank shot him ( him - her ??). He jumped straight up, plopped onto deck floor, & ran. Same as the rats I shot. He should be dead some place,

1 Step forward & 3 backward.
VA, Need pain pills that work & a good back brace. Dr aid calls & I get the back brace, no pills, back brace suppose to cure all my pains. If in 2 weeks it doesn't call back. I have a feeling that it may be so stiff I will have trouble bending over. VA also to give me a wheel chair. Going to ask about 1 with a motor. Skinny wheels & my rocky yard don't get along very well.
I just met 2 real idiots. For a long time I have wondered if stupid people knew they were stupid. Answer, no they don't, in fact they think they are very smart. These 2 make me look like an Einstein.
Want to give away all my aluminum, cans & every other junk type. Plus a bunch of electric crap, some good some can be fixed, I just want to get rid of it. First they want me to pay them for taking it. I start to loose it about then. Tell them if they don't want it get out. Was going to have 1 of them help me with some of the work. Just to dumb, could not fallow the simplest direction. May pay them to haul trash off, maybe they can get that right.?????
New TV has died, same time Dish's remote died, wonder if the remote screwed up & somehow messed up TV. Can only get 1 channel & volume. Some day I learn to save reciets on stuff like that. Don' remember who I bought it from or just when. Can figure out who & when by checking old bank statements. but not as good as the sales slip.
Still doing a little clean up. Damm little, too busy playing windows on the deck. Friend came down & we made some real progress. Did a few dumb things, even with that progress was made. First mistake was thinking I could score the plywood ( door skin ) with a knife & it would snap off pretty clean. Nope that is not a good way to go. Second mist take was trying to put an 8 foot sheet in a 6 foot hole. I can only work for about 1/2 hour before pain says quit. So every little while we sit down & have a beer. That may have lead to some of out mistakes. Too much beer & too little work. :laughing: :licking:
OK get little saber saw & cut wood. Good idea it works real well, near impossible to get a straight line, no big deal, some trim will hide the crooked. Running out of lumber, need another door skin, 2x2s, & so on. Had put in small window & got the frame near correct & it worked real well. Not happy, going to do it better. Bad idea, instead of building & installing frame so window just pops in. Use router to cut channel & slide window in. Wear out a carbide router bit, this old pine is almost as hard as oak.
Frame partly installed, slide window pane in, works real fine. Now put on top & other end. Huston we have a problem. No real way to nail it. No big deal a scab here & there will hold it fine. Another little problem Vertical piece too short. Not a problem will just make a new one. Quit playing wood & windows here, get it done later. Time for a beer. Time to smear some more paint. Buy some rattle cans, waste of time & $$. Buy quart of white works real well, will need at least 2 coats. Found an old 5 gallon can of paint in barn. Man was that lid on tight. Took almost an hour to get it off. Was hoping it was white, Light gray close enough. Think it was some paint left over from when the deck first got painted. 8 - 9 years ago. Still good but a little less than a gallon left. Going to take 1 sheet down, installed wrong, & paint both sides. At last it came to me, out sides need paint as well as inside. Would like to spay most of it & installing things would be easier with a nail gun. More things missing, Ronny or Clinton.????? Several other things missing as well. Don't really miss things until I want or need them.
Time to smear paint & play boards. + don't forget the beer it's not just for breakfast anymore.:laughing::licking::thumbsup::cool2:

You are so right. Another day 1 forward & 2 back. If it weren't for mistakes getting fixed I would get nothing done.
Latest round of goofs started a couple of weeks ago. Backing up to the barn door to unload dog seeds, I backed over a nice old tub & a good water cooler.
Yesterday in finishing putting widow frame together, got it nailed & glued in place. Look at far end, Its about 2 inches too long. Take it apart, not easy & long top board split. Time to make another, only thing left that will work is a 2x6x6, so will chop it up.
Smeared a lot of paint yesterday. Let boards rest for a while. Have taken a few pictures, if they come out will post them later. Should have taken before pictures. Had an old freezer shelf made of glass & aluminum, will use the small glass out of it so that I can see the flag. I will have a window that says "Amana" on it. Those are hard to find. :laughing: Kind of silly, but I mostly live outdoors, want my nest to be as comfortable as possible. Even think at some point in time will put a little micro wave out there. Going to put a light up to light the flag at night. There is an outside plug that is not working, will take it apart & fix if possible. Then run power from it to deck.
Bony is such a good dog.When she is asleep. :laughing: Most of the time a pain in the butt. Bobby a sweet heart, but irritates me by getting in the way all the time when I'm try to get things done.
I think this will be a very cold winter here. In spite of the fact that after the last clod dip it's now about 10 above normal. Had a lot of fake rain, & 1 pretty fair 1.
Well daylight is just about here, time to go out.

Be careful about staying too much in a wheel chair. Dad was walking when he went to the nursing home. But they encouraged him to stay in the wheelchair. Next thing, his rocker disappeared. I then realized Dad couldn't walk. Keep them muscles moving.
