max 24 hst tier 3 - reset glow plugs

Ok another dumb one.

i read here that turning the key left resets the glowplugs. well when i try to turn the key left of off it seems not to go any further - did not want to torque the key and break the unit. so do you people that own one of these do you actually turn it oast off to the left? or do you just make contact with off to the left and it recycles the plugs? or - does this model not have this possibility?

i tried this the other day and the key does not seem to go back left any further than off position.


OR - do people mean when you try the glow plugs and need to recycle you just turn the key to the left to off and that is what they mean as left to recycle?

On my end 22, I turn the key to the left than past off to on. Wait and hit start. Fires right up. I only do this when it is real cold. Tractor is in a garage though

Hmmmm. it seems like i cannot turn the key to the left past off. that is why i am asking.

I have a 22 Max and the key only turns to the right with the far left being Off, then once to the right it is Run, and one more to the right it is Start. Going from Run to Off and then back to Run will automatically charge the glowplugs according to the indicator light.

thanks - that is what i thought - and that seems to be the way mine works - so basically i have been doing ti correctly all the time. i do not think the manual says anything about recycling either and i read it 3x maybe.
