Half a cord is 4x4x4 = 64 cubic feet.

Your skid of wood is 6x3x4 = 72 cubic feet.

72 cubic feet sounds better than .56 cords.

I think I see Bigfoot in there. :D
It was dark, cold and the wind was literally blowing 50mph. That was the best I would do. I gave the tractor a protein shake afterwards, maybe we can work up to 3/4 cord.

I'll get a better pic in the day sometime.

Pulled out two maple blowdowns to add to my pile and cut down a dead standing red pine also. Got a chance to test out my new grapple which is awesome and should have bought it years ago.

I built 6 of these handy bins last spring when the heating season was about over. They are all full and ready to go.

I've built 13 of these,

They hold a half cord,

I could use 7 or 8 more!

I need to take the time to mill out the lumber to build them!

Andy1981 , do you have a skid plate on your John Deere . Looks like a forestry package. How much do you guys figure those wire mesh boxes of wood weigh? I'm wondering if a little 28 hp mahindra would lift them on the 3 pt. did you make the mesh?

I don't have a skid plate, I've spent some time laying under the tractor looking at how to mout one but that's as far as I got so far.
