Fuel winterizer

I've been using PS for many years. I buy the 80 oz. bottles and dump the whole thing (as indicated on the bottle) into a 250 gallon tank. (actually 275 gallon but I don't fill it).
That works out to a little over 3 oz. per gallon. A few here use the glug method and put one or two glugs per gallon. Being down south your temps probably don't stay as cold like ours do so you may be able to use less per gallon.
I buy fuel in bulk but use that tank for my tractor, salamander heater, and 80K BTU garage furnace.

A glug is 2.550 OZ so I use 4 glugs per 5 gallon jug.

That is way way more than I use for a 5 gallon container. Maybe one glug if even that.

I'm gonna say if your using straight dino diesel from a reputable station no worries.
Now if it is biodiesel treat it or drain it.

I bought winterized fuel in bulk this year and also poured in 64oz of Amsoil Injector Cleaner.

I was getting my 275gal tank filled at the fall timeframe and they asked me if I wanted normal or winterized. I went with winterized this year.

So far its been working out great.

What kind of fuel winterizer do you use if any? I have never used any in my tractors but am thinking about it. I don't use my tractor in the winterso it just sits in the garage. Do I need to to add winterizer to the fuel? Your thoughts.

If your tractor is sitting over in Decatur (only about 10 miles further north from where I sit as I write) it will probably only experience AVERAGE winter lows about 30 degrees F.
I don't know how much they winterize fuel around here but I've been here most winters since 2011 and have not worried about gelling. Not like Northern Vermont where I've had tanks of diesel turn to slush.
In your case I'd only worry about a biocide and top the tank off to prevent condensation.
And run it in the winter!! Heck a warm sunny winter day in Decatur is almost like a cold summer day in Vermont.
It's almost winter here and it's supposed to hit 74 degrees Wednesday.
