BX80 Series Announced!

   / BX80 Series Announced! #42
Hello,
I have been a long time lurker on this forum while on the hunt for my first SCUT. I thought I had my mind made up until Kubota announced the new BX80 series which may delay my purchase. I have been a bit frustrated on the lack of information released about this new product line. I decided to join the forum to share a link I found with a bit of googling, however I cant post it until I have 5 replies as I am a new member.

Hope this helps answer questions for folks.

Thanks zski128! This is my first post been lurking for awhile. I am in the same boat as you. I was going to pull the trigger on a 2370 w/ FEL and 54" deck this weekend but I'm also considering waiting. I wish I knew how much more I may pay though. Also a delivery date would be helpful too.

The loader has changed from an LA243 to an LA340 or LA344. If this is the usual KG capacity, that is a major loader lift upgrade. See photo below.

Kubota has recently changed the way they rate Loaders. The good more realistic old way was either lift at bucket center or 500mm forward of Pins.

The way Kubota rates loaders now is to rate at the pins like most everyone else does. (Does not make it right.)

Nope. The Spec. sheet for the new BX23 still gives both, and there is NO improvement in the lift capacity.

OLD BX25: 745 lbs. lift at the pivot pin, and 518 lbs. at 500 mm forward

NEW BX23: 739 lbs. lift at the pivot pin, and 509 lbs. at 500 mm forward

BUT, for the BX23S with the "Quick Attach" on the FEL: 613 lbs. at the pivot pin, and 423 lbs. at 500 mm forward - MAJOR BUMMER!

I'll pass, and stick with my BX25, thank you.

That's the reason I went with Jery's QA. The new SSQA is way to heavy for these small tractors. Not that they can't handle it, but when capacities are already below 800#, EVERY little bit means a lot. Just look at the Kubota BX fork rating... 300#. Really?

I would just be using this thing around the house. I cant imagine I would be lifting anything over 600lbs, I dont know maybe I will. What does a load of top soil weigh? What are you guys lifting that is so heavy? I look at the BX models as an oversized ride on not an industrial tractor. Thats what the B models are for.
