Nope. The Spec. sheet for the new BX23 still gives both, and there is NO improvement in the lift capacity.

OLD BX25: 745 lbs. lift at the pivot pin, and 518 lbs. at 500 mm forward

NEW BX23: 739 lbs. lift at the pivot pin, and 509 lbs. at 500 mm forward

BUT, for the BX23S with the "Quick Attach" on the FEL: 613 lbs. at the pivot pin, and 423 lbs. at 500 mm forward - MAJOR BUMMER!

I'll pass, and stick with my BX25, thank you.

Well, that's a downer...other than that, it looks like the new BX is going to be a killer machine. Ergonomics are finally where the should have been, years ago.

That new rear 3pt quick hitch is pretty interesting.

That's the reason I went with Jery's QA. The new SSQA is way to heavy for these small tractors. Not that they can't handle it, but when capacities are already below 800#, EVERY little bit means a lot. Just look at the Kubota BX fork rating... 300#. Really?

Good solution, robertm - will have to check it out for my 2009 BX25.

I would just be using this thing around the house. I cant imagine I would be lifting anything over 600lbs, I dont know maybe I will. What does a load of top soil weigh? What are you guys lifting that is so heavy? I look at the BX models as an oversized ride on not an industrial tractor. Thats what the B models are for.

If that's the case, then the new BX23 is for you - it has a great set of new features, including some nifty new quick attachment and detachment features (front andback).

That was me doing the BX weightlifting test. Did you notice that the full height lift was about the same as BX specs? My 604 lbs was between those figures. Placement wasn't precise. but was between pins and 500 mm forward.

Disappointed to hear nothing of position control. JD returned position control to their SCUTs, and I expected Kubota to do so as well when they introduced the replacement for the BX series.

I will not buy any tractor, even a SCUT without position control, which is one of the reasons why I have never found anything to replace my 1994 B1750HST. Bi-Speed turn is another reason but not nearly as important as position control and the terrain following deck.

I think with Jery's forks you will pick up 120-150 additional pounds just because of the fork and QA weight difference.
