Miller Classic Welding Helmet - HELP

Stupid question but I can seem to figure out how to replace the battery (for auto darkening). The manual says to slide the cover off the battery but it appears the whole unit has to come out of the helmet. I pushed and pried a bit on the tabs and such, but I don't want to break it. Clues???

Thanks for the vid link, Kenny. Unfortunately mine is a little different. The tabs are different and the battery is AAA instead of the coin style.

A picture would help. My Hobart takes AAA and slides off. I actually broke it trying to get it off last time I replaced the batteries. Mine looks like this.

Me too!.. I replaced the soldered in extremely hard to find coin cells with AAA cells in my helmet (Chinese something or other from Northern Tool).

Problem solved.

Mine has been flaky lately, it will sometimes go dark and stay that way until shut off. I replaced the batteries hoping it would help to no avail. If it was the only helmet in the house I would have taken it apart to see if there's something noticeable like bad solder joints. Hasn't happened yet, just used my son's helmet. My ambition may be less than my arc striking ability....lol.
