What is your guys favorite decade of music? I still love the 80's when I was a teenager to early 20's. Big hair, metal bands and ballads. It was awesome!

Has not been equaled since.

I was a teenager in the 50-60 era, but my favorite decade is the 70's.

I was born in the mid 60's so I do remember the 70's well. Great music too.

I can find something from every decade that I like. I'm still finding stuff today that I like. 50's, 60's, 70's. The 80's were kinda weak to me, probably due to disco and MTV overshadowing rock, but there was still lots of good stuff. As they'd say on American Bandstand....

It's got a good beat and I can dance to it...

Well, the 60's and 70's had some great music. Some of the stuff in the 80's was pretty good but the big hair and metal bands sucked.:laughing::laughing::laughing: Having said that, at least some of those bands could play an instrument unlike many who are making "music" today. The 90's was maybe a bit better, but as the last century closed, I liked the music played on the radio less and less.

Where I spend money on music today has been from Jubal's Kin, though I think the band has split up. Then there is the Avett Brothers,
.

I have never heard them on the radio which is a shame since they are from NC. They work their a....s off, can actually play instruments, and their lyrics are something else. I first saw them on Austin City Limits one night. The TV show we had been watching went off and ACL came on next with The Avett Brothers. I was not paying any attention, just reading something, then I heard the music.:D I have spent more nights than I care to admit staying up until 0200 or 0300 listening to their music and/or watching their videos. Never did that for any other band...

Later,
Dan

Here is a link to Jubal's Kin. They are two brothers and a sister that went to a bluegrass festival and decided they would like to play that kinda of music.

Later,
Dan
