I would think most dog bite victims are children being as how they don't know the dangers of going up to others dogs or being outside unsupervised. All dogs CAN be dangerous, I've seen small dogs more aggressive than lots of big dogs. Any dog can turn at any moment, just like people can turn. Teach your kids right from wrong, raise your dog right and ask God to keep you safe, that's all we can do.

Little dogs get little dog syndrome, luckily most the time they don't do much damage but yes they can be much more aggressive than a big dog.

In a lot of dog bites, it's the person being bitten is the reason the dog bit the person, either that person provoked, taunted, stepped into the dogs territory or reacted in a way that made a dog attack that wouldn't normally attack.

I have heard stories of dogs having ear infections and a little kid decides to grab the family dogs ear, dog bites from being in pain and gets put in a pound or put down for biting the kid.

My sisters dog (boxer/lab) is a big baby, when I was a teen at the house I grew up in, I let him outside, a kid was riding his bike down the street, the dog chases the kid, the kid jumped off his bike, threw the bike at the dog and in fear ran away from the dog on foot, the dog caught up and bit the kid on the azz, the kid fell down started crying and the dog came back to the house, this all tech happened in front of the house on our property off the road but there was still fines. The kid wasn't hurt, it didn't break skin, he has never shown aggression before or after that time.

I have also seen a border collie we had grab the pant leg of a kid and pull the kid off his bike, in her defense the kid constantly taunted the dog and was near our garage about 30yrds off the road, kid was a menace and came around for no reason, the collie would bark like no other but first time I had seen her get aggressive.

Bizarre things happen when it comes to dogs some times that's why every dog I have ever had knows better and I don't put them in a situation where they could have the idea of hurting someone because there is no way to know how that dog will react in different cases.
