Another option with the load of gravel within the LP at the end of pass is to back up X feet and spread this gravel back onto the road, maybe gradually lifting up the LP a little in the process. I do this, and also dress the areas with the FEL just before I say ' done '. I also work the drive with the LP level with the rear tire, and sometime drive on the wrong side of the road working the driveway backward to what you would normally thing as right. I have Afton stone [ crushed limestone ]. If I work it too dry it brings more stone up to the top. Working it somewhat damp helps keep the fines mixed up with the stone and ends up doing a better job. Each pass loosens up more gravel as the blades work down thru the road surface and soon fills the LP up. Too many passes and you soon wish you had a bigger tractor with the LP gravel load providing all the LP down force you could ever wish for...
