Dogs and neighbors.

I'd rather have some of the neighbor dogs roam over instead of their kids treaspassing with their 4 wheelers.

What has that got to do with the topic at hand? Both are a pain, but neither excuses the other.

Yep! And why is it that the trashy welfare sucking scum seem to have a yard full of pitbulls that roam? They can't afford to feed themselves or their brood without welfare/wic/every scam known to man....but they can have a dang herd of pitbulls. Those kind of people really piss me off.

Our neighbors small dog used to come and chase our chickens. We'd chase him off but it is old when you walk with a cane. Finally we told our neighbor- who never took it seriously (thought it was cute) - that we'd start using a BB gun on his dog whenever we saw him over at our house. That got his attention and it stopped being a problem.

I've been on both sides of the issue. I have 1 1/2 acres fenced in out back. Had to install an invisible fence in as well to keep my jack Russell contained. But I've always kept my dogs contained on the property.

I dont mind them coming onto the property if they were friendly. Used to get visits from a neighbors husky who was just friendly as can be. She would come up and start talking to me. Then flop on her back for a belly rub. Came home one day, and she managed to squeeze herself through the doggy door onto the sun room and was hanging with our dogs. She couldn't squeeze herself back out the door though. Was ablittle surprised to be greated by three dogs instead of two that day. I was laughing about it when I mentioned it to her owner. And was heart broken when they had to put her down due to cancer.

Had a neighbor that had a very aggressive German Shepherd though. Talked to the owner on several occasions. They somehow had the misconception that my property was there dogs territory. Informed them that for $175,000 my property could be there dogs territory. But until then, they needed to keep the dog contained to there 6 acres. They lived down at the end of the street. And the dog was going after people on my property and damaging vehicles by jumping and clawing at them. After the dog went after my 2 year old grandson, the dog got put down.
