With most it is a macho thing'
Yep. I hate to stereotype but in many cases it's quite easy to figure out who owns a pitbull simply by looking at the neighborhood and owners.

I love dogs.....but they don't belong in stores or restaurants unless they are certified service dogs....especially dogs in the baby seat in the grocery cart!
I agree 100 percent, our gypsy girl has been through obedience school, and is fixing to go through the intermediate and advanced classes. Since she has a good disposition for it, we are gonna have her trained as a therapy dog, where she can visit nursing homes and kids at the hospitals. You should see her with my 91 year old grandfather who has dementia. We walk in and she will go over to him and place her head in his lap for some petting. He won't have a clue who we are, but he sure lights up with the dog and will bring him out of a stupor for a bit![]()
Having lost my Dad to Alzheimer's 21 years ago I can totally relate. Thank you for taking your dog to visit your grandfather.![]()
Take 25 minutes out of your day and watch this on Intermountain Therapy Dogs
Awesome video .. I have watched it a least a half dozen times over the years.. There is something about animals and kids/people.

That's a rough one watching a loved one lose there marbles like that. And just the decline in the past couple months has been rough. He had only seen gypsy once when she was two months old. She's 15 months old now. Wife and I were a little nervous taking her in to see him. We didn't have a dog sitter this trip, so she went with us. And she can get rambunctious sometimes when she gets excited.
But she was just as calm as she could be. Went right up to him and laid her head in his lap for some scratches. And man did he light up
No doubt that animals can work wonders with people.
But as far as flying and requiring "emotional support animals" it is being abused. It's gone beyond dogs at this point and people are trying to bring "emotional support turkeys" on airplanes. Flying turkey ruffles feathers about 'emotional support' animals on planes | Fox News
