I've seen dogs like that in grocery carts in grocery stores, but more frequently in Lowe's or Home Depot. Personally I would never do that, even though we have a 12 pound Chihuahua who loves everyone and would never bite anyone. But I don't mind if others do. Their little dog in the cart doesn't bother me; just strikes me as odd.

In these discussions it always reminds me that only I think my dog is not an intrusion. Everyone else has the right to feel however they like. I take it as my responsibility to minimize my dog's intrusion on their space. Some people never, ever consider that in regards to their pets.

Little update, had my dog out letting her run while keeping my eye on her. She was doing very good staying well away form the road. I was in a bit of an unseen location as I was also working on firewood around the side of the house, when I here voices calling her. Look up and lo and behold they are calling her across the road again. Will be having a discussion with the neighbor about his kids as I know I have told them not to call her over and have to him not to let them.

People with well behaved dogs in stores doesn't bother me. What bothers me is 4 or 5 people having a conversation in the middle of the aisle, their carts circled like a wagon train.
