Just because a dog is built to handle being wet and cold doesn't make it ok to needlessly and intentionally subject them to it. You could probably survive ok for a few hours naked in sub-freezing temps too. I doubt you would find the experience enjoyable. If a coat will mitigate much of the situation, why not use one?

Agreed. Where I'm at in Minnesota it is again colder than all of Canada, Alaska, the Arctic Circle, and the North Pole.

There is a very good reason for dog coats.

I'm surprised to see your humidity at 33% with temps that cold.
Those coats look pretty nice, and the prices are lower than I expected.
