My toolcat overheated - the fan belt broke and this is the second time in 6 months. This one was from NAPA. Any advice regarding the best belt to use and why it might brake so soon? Mine is a 2011 model 5600 serial number A94Y11588
Thanks for your help.

If the belt is breaking either some thing isn't lined up correctly or there's a bad bearing some place.

As Billrog stated or over tighten of belt.

Check the alternator mounts. Make sure both top and bottom are tight, no cracks in the mount, and the pulley is aligned correctly with the crank and water pump pulleys.

Thanks for the advice. I succeed in mounting the belt, although it took me several hours, as the access is very tight. Maybe there is a better way, but the access on my F-series is very, very tight.
My local Bobcat did not have the fan belt in stock, so used a NAPA belt (like last time).
As best as I can tell, the most likely cause of the belt break is that a twig got stuck into the engine compartment (I was cutting blackthorn when it happened and found a broken twig in the engine compartment). Did anybody experiment with closing the opening on the bottom to prevent twigs from getting into the engine compartment?
