Step ladders ??

I have the following ladders all rated for 300 lb.
21' Werner aluminum folding extension (like little giant)
10' Babcock wood step ladder
8' Babcock wood step ladder

Good brands I know of are Louisville, Werner, Keller, Gorilla, Babcock

I bought my wood ladders before fiberglass became popular and they are heavy. Today I'd buy fiberglass if I needed one.

I have the Warner version from Lowe's. It's heavy but steady as rock. I use it more than any other ladder, be it an extension or regular step ladder.

I have a 12 ft Werner. Good ladder, but pretty heavy. It's about as heavy as I can handle. I don't use it as much as I used too, try to use another, lighter ladder or come up a different way.

I've got a 12' Werner fiberglass step ladder. At one point I was pushing 250# with full winter clothes and its solid as a rock. Had it for about 7-8 years now. We have several sizes of these at my employer as well. All work well and seem to hold up.

I'll agree that its heavy. But it is sturdy.

I always bought Warner fiberglass ladders. Never had any issues with them. Use to keep them on the service trucks. Over time,Weather will take it's toll on the fiberglass

My motto is you can never have too many or kinds of ladders.

I found a tripod ladder at a hardware store in East Texas on sale for less than $100. I love that ladder.

I was surprised at the price but it was the last one they had. It's my favorite ladder now.

Who makes a quality made heavy duty step ladder?I need to purchase a 14 footer.Looking at louisville,werner & keller.Any opinions ?

If I was looking to buy a new 14' ladder I'd consider a podium ladder.

You don't say where or how you will you be using it. I just like the idea of the larger step platform at that height.
