It's a sad day when the leader of the greatest nation on the planet has the social skills of an eighth grader. But when push came to shove, people voted for their freedoms and their pocketbook, and that's how we got what we got. With that poor example of how to behave now in our almost daily news feed, I'm afraid that a lot of folks feel that Raider Nation attitudes are officially sanctioned as the new norm. I think a lot more people these days grew up without moms that would school them in how to behave, and what to say and when to say nothing. With the advent of the Internet, everyone's an expert and they all feel entitled to share their opinions, no matter how misinformed, uneducated, bigoted, or ignorant they are. I'm grateful the Good Morning! thread has so far been insulated from this trend because I've seen it in most of my other social media feeds, like a rising tide of sewage. The result has been a wave of un-friending, un-subscribing, and blocking. I'm too old to put up with that in an activity that is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. Now if I could just block discourteous, thoughtless, and careless drivers with a few mouse clicks, now that would be something!
