The Max has a ML202 loader on it.

doneill....when your FEL is in float...nothing will happen anyway. For lack of a better way to put it, Float means that the circuit is open...ie. fluid could flow in either direction, depending on where the bucket is...that's why you can backdrag the bucket and it will go up or down..following the grade of the land...the curl function is identical....BobG in Va

Well...even old dogs can learn new tricks....I checked the curl function on my 6000 with the FEL in float...(ML264 by KMW)...and lo and behold the curl function works....hmmm...you can learn something new every day...BobG in VA

It seems intuitive that it should. I also have a KMW loader and if Rback33 is correct it should also be able to curl.

I contacted the dealer Saturday for the second time after my initial request about 3 weeks ago and was told that they are still waiting to hear back from Mahindra. Told them I would be calling them back in another week if I haven't heard from them. If I don't hear back I will probably contact Mahindra directly.

Just heard back from the dealer and they said that they heard back from Mahindra and that it was designed that way and there's nothing wrong. So according to Mahindra, the Max 22 with an ML202 KMW loader is designed so that when it's engaged in float, the bucket will curl down but not up. Told them doesn't seem consistent with what I've heard in this post, or the information posted in this link by a Max 25 owner. So I passed this info on and asked them to go back to Mahindra with it.

I am not sure who Mahindra contacted. I know they have not contacted me. They may have contacted our design engineer (who I contacted with this question). He was checking with the valve supplier to verify, but I have not heard back from him.

FYI Max28 ML205 will curl both directions in float, but float is a real pain as detent spring in loader valve will pop out of float at slightest bump. You have to manually hold the valve in float. Thank you again Mahindra.

I can't speak on the functionality of the ML205. That one is not made by KMW.

Just thought I'd post an update. Due to some great customer support(not Mahindra) I learned that the FEL on my Max 22 is supposed to curl in float and that a "fix" has been sent to Mahindra USA. I passed the info plus a Mahindra USA contact name to my dealer on 1/25. Heard back today that the Regional Service Manager is looking into the matter and is going to reach out to the Mahindra USA contact I provided. So we're now at about 5-6 weeks since my initial request for support. I figure I'll hear back from the Regional Manager in another couple of weeks. Considering Mahindra's first response was that there was not a problem with the loader you'd think they'd move quickly to set things right.
