I see a blue tractor in background. He may go up ramps to unload most of the trailer, then shovel rest off the tarp into bucket. Same with truck, unload with bucket and then shovel rest into bucket. Just a thought. Jon

3930Dave echoed my thoughts. We are covered in ice and packed snow and would be delighted if there were only 6 more weeks of winter!
I almost have my wife convinced to relocate to a warmer clime now that she is retired...

Today forecast high here on the West Coast of Florida is 80F
I have a summer home in Nova Scotia, but will never be there in winter.
I grew up in the New England. No more Northern winter for me .....ever!

Truck was probably good but that poor trailer was not happy.

That trailer will have 7k axles, so you can be at 14k on the trailer axles, plus put another 2k on the tongue. Not sure on how much gravel that is, but he may not be terribly overloaded. He sure needs a dump trailer.

Around here, it's $90/hr for a dump truck and driver, and the pit is about 20 minutes away. It does not pay to haul your own gravel with a pickup and trailer in our situation unless you just need a yard or two.

Now that my wife is retired, she has mentioned getting a place down south as well. I'm still working and I just assumed she was talking about both of us moving! I better check of clarification!

Maybe that's not his house, its only as far as he got up the grade when the engine puked.

Hard to say, would be an easier call if we knew it was a chevy
