In Northern NY state we are having a very warm winter,only a couple days below zero.Ice is very unsafe;snowmobiles and four wheelers have been going through the ice.Last February we averaged about +2 F. for the whole month,this year I would guess it's about +25F with many days above freezing.We are right on the Canadian border so used to normally cold winters but not this year.Not a lot of snow either;only plowed one time so far.

Metsaman there is a TV program here called "Ice Road Truckers" filmed in Canada. They haul heavy loads with semi trucks over frozen lakes. It's scary, a job like that takes courage!

Here in Finland winters are also warmer than used to be... maybe it global warming.. this ice road is not open every winter because there no have enough thick ice..
