I noticed my rear tire on my 35CK hydro was flat and all my ballast leaked out. It seems like the bead broke. I haven't taken the tire off yet. I left my backhoe on the tractor for more weight for winter, my question is should I leave the backhoe on or did that actually cause the tire problem? I have seen many guys leave the backhoe on with no problems. When I do park the tractor, I have to swing the backhoe over to the left to get it in the spot I use to park it, the same side as the bad tire. I think the tire had some kind of molasses in it, not positive. My dealer closed up and the closest one to me is a long way from where I live. Any thoughts?

I would leave the backhoe on, use the outriggers to help change the tire.

I'd look for a mobile tire change place near you, then determine what the cause of the flat/leak was and fix it as needed. You may have a nail or other slow leak....I doubt the hoe caused the leak.
Post back results.

The problem is the backhoe is in a tight spot and I have to move it forward to get the outriggers down. The frame of the backhoe is on the ground so somehow I have to try and move it forward with the backhoe and I don't have alot of room to move around.

Can you get a 3 ton floor jack or similar, under the hoe or tractor frame to jack the entire unit high enough for a tire guy to remove and fix the tire in place?

I suspect you have a tubeless tire and there was a small leak either on the bead or in the tread. Air escaped and when it was all gone the weight of the TLB caused the tire bead to separate from the rim. It probably would have made no difference if the BH was removed. If you can lift the tire off the ground with the BH try a ratchet strap around the tire to get the bead to re-seat then fill with air. Once filled you can check for a leak with soapy water. I have also re-seated a bead by spraying a flammable propellant such as starting fluid or WD40 in the tire then lighting it. This is not for the faint of heart and dangerous so I DON'T recommend doing this, just saying it can be done. There are plenty of videos on line showing it can be done and plenty showing the dangers of doing this.

If you do have tubes then the tire will have to come off the rim to pull and patch the tube then reinstall.

It's so tight in that spot that I don't think I can get clearance to get the tire off, so I hope I can move it forward about 4' to get outrigger down. That being said the frame of hoe is on ground and maybe I can somehow lift the frame off ground, and move it forward with bucket of hoe.

If you are able to jack it up a bit and then see if you can air up the tire, it more than likely will hold air long enough for you to drive the tractor out and to a better location to remove it. If you don't have any way of airing it up, I would contact a local tire shop that does mobile repairs and let them take care of it.

...If you can lift the tire off the ground with the BH try a ratchet strap around the tire to get the bead to re-seat then fill with air. ...l.

Good luck with that. I had a front flat (valve stem problem) on my DK and never could get the bead reseated using a cargo strap. I had to take that wheel/tire to a tire place; they used used a Cheetah in addition to a cargo strap to seat the bead. These tractor tires are very stiff. For a rear I would just call a mobile tire place that does agricultural stuff. That's what my dealer did to fill the tires initially. There is danger here: a rear tire/wheel can be quite heavy and could hurt you bad if it fell on you.

Think about it..... You have a backhoe on this tractor..... The BH boom should easily lift the side the flat is on. Put the tractor in neutral, using the BH, lift the tractor and push it forward until you can lower the stabilizer.

I'm guessing you have a leaking tire and when it got low enough it popped off the rim as George said. Get it seated on the rim and aired up, then find the leak and plug it. Then address the issue of replacing the ballast. Not sure why you need ballast with a BH on the tractor though...
