Saturday, in preparation for our last storm, I was using the FEL to push back some of the piles around the property. When I went to engage the PTO for the blower, nothing happened. I had just used it on Thursday with no issues.

My PTO switch would light, so I knew that the PTO mode selector switch, PTO switch, and the PTO relay were good and I was in Manual mode so that goes around all the safety switches.

I searched on the TBN forum but didn't find anything pertinent. In searching over Google, there is another forum where I read about a "reset" that could be pushed by a small screwdriver after removing a plug on the electronic PTO valve body. Although I didn't actually "feel" a button with my screwdriver, I did remove the plug and push and, low and behold, after reassembly, the PTO worked just fine.

Just wanted to make a post about it so there would be some information for anyone else who may experience it.

That's awesome. Thank you very much for sharing that. It is typical to find folk with similar issues, unfortunately not many post the fixes. You sir, are good man!

I've not had that issue, but I'm sure I may at some point. Where is the electronic PTO valve body located on our tractors? Not something I've had to research yet.

It is on the right side, under the deck, just forward of the rear tire. I had to lay on the ground and reach my arm in between the right side step and the rear fender. It is an aluminum block, with two hoses, and a magnetic coil and electrical connector.

Sweet! Thanks for the reply! Gives me something to look for if I ever have a problem in the field. You are a lifesaver! (or at least a day-saver) :)

Hi Pyro,
I think I might have the exact problem you had years ago where the electrical systems are all working but the PTO wont turn. I have been trying figure out how to fix the problem myself and came upon this thread - thanks for sharing your experience!
Could you provide more details on how you got your PTO to work including more information about the "reset" button that you pushed. I really appreciate your help! My tractor is practically useless without the PTO.
