Mine just not holding a charge so I need to replace it. I'm physically challenged at the moment and it would be too difficult for me to pull it out to see whats in there now. If I know the exact size I can buy a battery and maybe get a neighbor to put it in for me.

edited to add: went out to look at it and found that it is a 22F-1. The problem I see is that these come in slightly different sizes whereas the Kioti battery sits in a non adjustable tray so the battery has to be an exact fit. I called the Kioti dealer and their batteries are $106 + tax. I didn't ask the make, but that seems a bit steep.

I guess the only alternative is to get the old one out, measure it exactly, and make the rounds at Walmart, AZ, and Advance.

I have a 24F in my 2004 CK30hst. The length and width fits the tray perfectly and the height keeps it just down from the air filter. I bought it from an Advanced Auto parts store. The 24F is a reasonably common size and can be found in most auto parts stores or probably even a Walmart if you wanted. Mine was 700 cca with 8 year warranty/first 3 years no cost and was $125. There's some less expensive ones but with less CCAs. I wanted the larger for Winter and glow plugs.

Normally the tractors come to the dealer with no battery. The dealer decides which brand and size to install. I haven't seen and "Kioti" branded battery.

I just replaced mine 2 days ago, installed a 24F 700 CCA. The F places the terminals forward of the air filter housing so next time recharging is needed it will be easier access. Any sixe you use will eat up a $100 bill +/- a few bucks. Mine was $98.76 @ TSC with tax.

Dennis, I've never had mine out so I'm wondering if that tray the battery sits in is adjustable in any way? I can't tell by looking at it, but sense many brands of the same group, 22, 24, etc, come in slightly diff widths/lengths, I'm leery of just going to Advance or wherever and buying a 24F. Did you pull yours out first to measure it before buying the new one?

Any size 24 will fit, plenty of adjustment in tray. I used a optima red top to prevent acid from getting all over the battery compartment especially on hilly terrain and vibration. 1 year old tractor Battery tray was all rusted from the cheap POS the dealer put in.

The tray it mine is not adjustable as is in some car types by adjusting a plastic block in the tray. I had measured my original battery and more importantly the tray, so I knew a 24F would fit. The group 34 will, as mentioned, also fit even though a 1/2 longer and 1 inch lower. Mine can't take anything longer than the 24 or 34. The 22 would be not as long and with being smaller, probably less CCAs.

Always install the highest amp hour and highest cold cranking ampacity CCA battery that can be squeezed into the battey box.

This statement is so true if you are up in any area where it gets down to the single digits. More power is a big plus when it is cold out.

Thanks to all for the feedback. I decided to get one from the Kioti dealer, a Deka 750cca, $112 total. When I got the old one out I found that indeed it did have a small adjustable plate at the front bottom held on with two bolts so that it would take slightly different size batteries. Before, there was enough trash covering it that I couldn't see the plate and got all worked up thinking it had to be an exact size. Anyway, got everything thoroughly cleaned, put a couple of those green & red felt washers under the cables to help prevent corrosion and it cranked so fast I could hardly hear the motor turn over. LOL.
