Code Needed For Blinking Light

Hey guys, brand new to the forum! Hoping someone can give me some insight on an issue. I have a 2011 Mahindra 2WD 6530. Recently the (!) Light, instead of going off after warming up, blinks 5 times, pauses, then repeats the 5 blinks and continues doing it. I do not have the owners manual for this tractor and wondering if someone that has experienced this or knows what I am talking about can give me the code for my tractors issue. Thanks so much for any insight!

I don't know what the 5 blinks is for, but I have a 2013 6530 4wd and found out you need to start in low idle or it will blink after a little bit.

I have read that and don't think it's the case with mine. I have started it seviral times since and it continues the same sequence. Any more suggestions or insight would be appreciated.

First, thankfully my 6000 is old enough that these pesky "lights" were not included (I have gauges only)...now, not sure if this will cure anything, but you may want to disconnect the battery then reconnect and see if anything resets...who knows?? good luck. Bobg in VA

Not a bad idea, I may try that! The tractor doesn't run any different, the little I have ran it since the blinking started. I just don't want it to be something considerable and not resolve the problem.

I have the blinking codes document. Chapter 8 and it deals with the EGR for 30 Series, model 5530, 6030 and 6530 2wd/4wd Had the same problem with my 08' 5530 Turbo 4wd. It's a lengthy chapter and taking that specific info out of context is not doing anyone right. Dealer found a leaking EGR valve. Costly little bugger and it resolved the blinking issue. EGR #1 pdf is a single page, bottom of page the fine print shows which Series and models of tractor and year. If your unit is Tier 3 the info should be useful. Full document is #2 pdf. Happy to help and share the document.

5 Blinks is a EGR valve malfunction. Are you letting the engine idle for long periods?:confused3:

Letting the engine idle to long can soot up the EGR valve and cause it to stick. Next time you have the engine idling a while through it wide open and note if the engine stumbles and huffs a lot of black smoke till it reaches high RPM. That's a sign the EGR is loading up.:thumbsup:
