Who has their Class A CDL?

I'm really looking out for my employer... they appreciate it so much that, in the past year, my hours have been cut to 40/week max, no overtime, (down from nearly 50/wk) and paycuts across the board that caused me to loose 18% of my hourly wage. I'm thrilled. The drive time and test were kinda slid thru under the radar of the management.

Ouch !! That has to hurt  I know at My wife's work , there are times she gets overtime every week for several months , then none for up to a year . Being a production / manufactoring business , it all depends on products being purchased on the consumer end . Me , I drive my own semi . My main product on My week starting southbound run is toilet paper . When consumer purchasing of that slows down , We have other issue's

The good side is that one does not have to be loyal to any employer . Thus if a better opportunity comes along , You have a additional qualification to add to your resume . Loyality only goes so far and it does not pay the bills . :2cents:

Has anyone had their medical lately? Instead of a little card which has been growing in size, I now have an 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of paper. Been many years since I used a chain drive wallet but I may have to get one to hold the "med card".

Yes, I got that too. I had one of the girls in the office minimize it and laminate it. I keep that one in my wallet, and made a couple copies of the full size that I leave in my personal truck, my work truck, at the office, and at home.

After nearly a whole year, I snuck in a little off-the-clock drive time, and took the test earlier this morning. Lucked out, getting easy test maneuvers, and despite my lack of skill shifting an 18 speed in a Kenworth, passed the test.

Congratulations. . 18 speeds are my fave.

I was told that in my state they're now linked to your license by computer. But I still have a wallet sized laminated copy that I have in the briefcase while I'm in the company truck. I don't worry about it in my personal vehicles.

It is the same up here. I don't need the med. card as I don't go to the 'States anymore.

Well, it's finally complete. After a trip to the DMV today with my test scores, my new class A CDL is in my wallet.

In regards to the medical card, WV DMV is now tracking that too, including expiration date.

You have now become lower than a snakes' belly button in the eyes of the general motoring public.
