Yes, the silo has an entrance to the barn all by itself. A nice walkway about 3 feet by 3 feet. The barn needs new wood in that area, it is quite weathered and rotted.

Here are some more pics.

.

Are there metal panel that fit in the opening? Or is that some of the wood that is missing?

That area is pretty beat up. Hard to say. I imagine feed stock flowed from the silo somehow. Is that what your getting at? The barn door there is ok but the barn outside wood next to the silo is pretty bad.

A bit of light wet snow this morning, warming up to about 40 today. Sadly one of the boats fishing for herring capsized overnight, four of the crew were rescued but one crew member that was in the engine room went down with the boat. Happened about 20 miles up the coast from us.

Sad. I wonder, did they figure out what happened?

Good evening all. 55F this morning, clear and dry as forecast rain for last night did not fall. Was a nice day today, windy this morning and backed off late this afternoon. Temp made it to 70F. clear sky and light breeze in the afternoon. Rode this morning, bible class, then trip to the bike shop, change out seat, and tweak rear brake for more stopping power.

36 right now...should see about 50 as the high.

Town Meeting wasn't so hot...I can see my local taxes going up....seems like the people that showed up voted for every increased expenditure (and tax) that was brought up. Boy, I got to get out of Vermont!

8C/46F at 8am and blossom breaking out on just about every blackthorn and cherry tree in sight.

Last night we were travelling over the Pennine hills on a busy motorway and noticed a few cars pulled into the side with their hazard lights flashing. It's not unusual to see the odd one or two vehicles breaking down on this steep section of road, however my wife counted at least 8 and by the time we got to the top there were many more in the distance. A couple of those that had pulled over looked to have flat tyres. ? I switched lanes to follow a line of trucks, hoping their tires would pick up anything in the road first, then left at the next exit. I expected to see my car down on it's rims this morning, but fortunately my tires seem to be holding air at the moment.

Hey Eric, look what they dug up in a farmer's rabbit hole in Shropshire. How close is this to you?
The caves are in Shifnal, about 30 miles away. Rabbits keep digging holes in my milled asphalt track out the back - maybe I should have a closer look before I fill them in the next time.

Everyone have a great day. Be safe.
